What can RecreationRx.org do for you?

RecreationRx.org wants to help you develop a recreation prescription program in your area.  We are actively working to complete a step-by-step implementation guide to help you do just that.  You'll be able to download the guide right here when it's available...

To facilitate partnerships between physicians and recreation providers, we hope to offer a place on the website dedicated to your program or region where health care providers can consult with us directly to learn how to implement a RecreationRx program in your community or region as well as learn from the experience of others doing the same.

As you develop your own local RecreationRx program, manage it directly through your own Program Forum on our website: 

• Clinic providers can request prescription pad refills or provide feedback online and the designated Program Champion is immediately alerted by email to assure a quick response! 
• Program and Clinic Champions will be able to provide program updates online for all health partners to view ... announcements, kudos, and solutions to any issues are immediately available (and can be sent to doctors and recreation providers immediately through our RSS feed!) 
• Have a place to provide important resources specific to your program available for download. Program guides, contact information...  whatever files you need your partners to access will be available in your program forum
  
• Program Champions can moderate a discussion board that actively engages all of the stakeholders in your community!

By providing a central place for the administration of your program and others, we hope to ease the process of moving the RecreationRx model throughout California and beyond... one community at a time!

Recreation Providers...  Are you looking for a physician partner in your area to help you develop a recreation prescription program?  It's easier than you think.  Here are a couple of resources to help you find a partner...

• Sign Up to join our network and let us know what your specific interests are when you sign up...  we'll match you with a physician who expresses interest in your region.
• Check with known "physician champion" programs, such as the CMA Foundation, which can help you find a motivated and community oriented doctor in your area interested in health promotion and obesity prevention.
